so i've been working on my own galleries for my own pics/personal site, i've made my first one...but this thread makes me think that maybe i'm a little too optimistic about getting it out there - what's my first line of attack?

I'm not going to mention the name of the company nor give out any details as they are still in a trial phase and I respect their right to privacy until they go public, which they will soon. They are still testing different billing models to find what criteria suits surfers the most, the reason I've choosen to work with them as due to the fact I have a good working relationship with some of the staff!

Here is a tip from the nubiles crew... when naming your galleries don't using sequential numbering, but instead use random letters or skip numbers in the sequence so they cannot just type in the next number and get the next gallery. Set up a 404 redirect in your htaccess and send them to your own MGP or hub. It's great feeder traffic!
