The reason this one got posted here is this is the first one that had info that actually worked. Most of the other sites never have good info. On this one, 5 out of the 10 listed worked. The other forums are usually much much bigger and since so many people visit them and try to use the info, by the time we find out about it our security software has already blocked them all out.

yes i had an hour discussion on the phone with ray just before montreal show.

using strongbox with form based logins will kill password forums, but its getting people to switch from htaccess over to form logins.

90% of adult sites use htaccess, and its so easy to break into.

if we were to get everyone to switch, people would be making more money, and not losing any.

i have to tip my hat to ray. very good job with the product.

using pennywize is just not enough. it does not give you the solution you need.

htaccess is a thing of the past. people will get by you in a matter of mins.

anyone that knows anything about htaccess security and brute forcing with proxy/wordlists knows that.

its time we put a stop passwordforums. and migrate adult sites over to forum logins. Eventually its going to be a must, if I was going to be running a pay site i would do it.

If sponsors were smart.... most are, they would make a mock members area that after getting more then 10 hits from different IPs using the same pass, the script would let them into a fake members area, with short tease galleries that loads to a join page. It's easy to set up.

I know people that make tons doing that and turn those cheating assholes into paying customers.

Its great traffic actually, depending on how you look at it and run your program.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Again, hate to be the outspoken newb here. But even I can brute a strongbox login with a good wordlist and the right amount of proxies. And thats a fact. I checked strongbox out to install on a client's site (mainstream) and I was able to brute it in a few minutes.

Sure its a great peice of software, but it doesn't render these forums obsolete.

hmmm yeah, security gets better - so does the people trying to get in. Strongbox - form logins - cookie tickets etc, all can be broken into....I´d be schocked if the forums ever ran dry of paysite passes....

I have always wondered why paysite owners dont secure thier sites better?

These "hackers" are using the most simple brute forcing methods known to man, its realy not hard to stop it..
