Judge's dont work on "hunches" or what "may" be obvious.

If they ask you for 2257 documentation for your paris hilton ad banner and you say " this guy on gfy said its ok " isn't going to cut it..

Im not doubting xpays legal rights to the video, but when other sponsors are contacting affiliates telling them they will be cancelled if they promote xpays , then "someone" must not believe they do..

Xpays doesnt have to prove anything to us, but an article in the nytimes about paris participating in the video isn't going to cut it for 2257.

Understood and no arguement.. however... all of the new twist yells that the law is for the protection of minors and to insure that minors aren't being used in sexually explicit content...

Under the law.. the courts must rely on the 'original intent' of a law.. and as such.. the law could only apply if an individual included in sexually explicit content was, in the eyes of the court, questionable insofar as age.

If there was any question whatsoever in the age of P. Hilton, then ol' what's his face, that released the video would be in the courts as we speak instead of livin' life in luxury.. ..

But then I guess there are many laws where the courts forget to consider the original intent... Can you say IRS? .. :)

the new 2257 regs we all read require ALL content, regardless of model's age or fame, to be fully backed by i.d.

that means if i'm shooting 75 year old grannies, i still have to have the i.d., and if i put them on a banner, i have to give them to my affiliates for the affiliates to be within the law. also, according to the lawyers i talked with, if i put a banner on my site with a model, it doesn't matter where it's hosted - only that it's on my website.

assuming those are the regs as they got finalized, paris hilton banners will be no different.

then make sure your banners are not sexually explicit. girls face or in a bra, bikinni etc.

IF they are sexually explicit... But.. I really doubt they'll kick your door down to make sure the 75 year old granny isn't a minor...

I guess it all means that if I promote an adult video/vod site, I need names, addresses, and copy of drivers licenses of everyone in every video that the sponsor site has for sale...
