Canadian summers usually ROCKS, Spend couple of weeks in June in montreal, go up north camping and fishing.

Hit Gimli for the Icelandic Festival...

But like Sleazy, I am to looking for a winter home for I can't stand the miserable winters we get over here in Toronto.

Lens, You lead a good life my friend. I am sure lots around here envy you ;-)

Huh? Its extremely dry there, having more days under 10% humidity than any other major city throughout the year. Granted you usually have a couple weeks of monsoon in August where the humidity goes up, but thats it. As bad as the summers are, I can't think of a nicer place to spend the winter. AZ gets its five months of scorching summer heat, while many other major cities get five months of freezing, snowy winter.

But I would not live in AZ either . . . but I do have a great time whenever I go there. Thank you Martina, Warren, Niko, Vanilla, Stewie, Steve . . . and everyone else that makes that happen.

You are always welcome,

We spent one summer here so far and to be honest it was not that bad having said that We were traveling a lot to different states during the hottest months lol

The wine tasting and skiing sound great i think my wife would want us to move there just for those two reasons.

Fuck that!

Norcal rules. Think I'll drive the convertable to work tomorrow, play golf in 80 degree weather on Friday, then I'll drive 1.5 hours and go skiing in Tahoe CA on Sat. Thinking of going tasting in Napa Valley on Sunday.
This is exactly why I hate Nevada too.

I'd much rather have 5 months of 100+ days then 9 months of cold or just depressing overcast and raining. And say what you want about the "dry heat" , its true. 110 in Vegas is tons better than 85 in the Midwest or Florida.

Plus its all about location. Vegas and Phoenix have everything you could ask for, great looking women, world famous shopping, fine dining. And only 4 hours to LA and the beach or a 30 minute flight. Include Vegas' zero state income tax and affordable living and you have the reasons why those two places are the fastest growing in the US.

Agreed! I've lived all over, and am not even a "sun" person by nature, but I love it here! I think Lens is just jealous of all the hot babes we have in AZ.

We drive to Ensenada some times to do the wine tatsing. But by the time we are ready to leave, no one can drive, and we end up staying. Nice drive though the mountains tough.

it's supposed to hit 100 today here and we're close to Lake Mead, so we also have the added fun of humidity......and about 5 degrees above the "official" Las Vegas temp...but it beats the snow my folks are getting in Wyoming...

summers do suck here, but you ever been to Saudi Arabia in August? Upper one teens to 120 solid with a dash of humidity. Hottest place I've ever been.

basically the same reasons i have lived in cali for 8 years. dry heat sucks.

go to the beach at 10am three blocks away in 75 degree weather, at 1pm, tan in the 82 degree weather, play twilight back 9 at 75 degrees and still have the best snowboarding slopes in my back pocket when i need them or want them.

gave up humidity and mosquitos in miami for cali. i did like the trip to phoenix forum though.

Believe it or not, you can easily tell the difference between 101 and 114. The difference is substantial. 114 is a miserable heat, 101 really isn't that bad at all...

Summers are an oven, but you still have very comfortable mornings before the sun comes up to cook anything in its path. All in all, aside from feeling like you're on the surface of the sun sometimes, and the venemous bugs, spiders, lizards, and snakes - it's a kick ass place to live.

Tucson doesn't seem as bad as Phoenix. It cools off alot more at night than Phoenix and is more like Las Vegas temp it seems.
