The record keeping that the new 2257 suggests would be difficult for even a large / well organized company to comply with...either you are 100% compliant or you are not. Feds: "Oh, can we see {this models} id on {this banner} of your TGP." TGP Guy: "Damn, that one was served from a bannerserver...It's in there but not cross refferenced quite right." Feds: "Well then you are not 100% compliant. Put your hands against the wall - you are under arrest." Now you are fucked. But hell, postwhores like baddog don't have anything to worry about becasue they don't even make any money in this industry. |
2257 = survival of the fittest

It's a new kind of Nazi taking over,

Its not the administration's morals, its the majority of American's values. its about not being able to give your children an email account because it will get spammed with "V1rgin sux huge Cocke" emails. its about misdirecting mainstream urls to porn etc. etc. in that scenario, we lose all day long. It's not the president, its the people and lack of ethics in our biz. |

I actually think there could be a big backlash to this...it seems people don't care so much when our military is misused or if airport security is not quite what it could be, but the do get angry as hell when you fuck with their entertainment...and that's what porn is, after all, it's entertainment. |

It's what happens when you mix politics and religion together on top of voting for the Texan B-man....

Quote:
You should stick to link lists, because you obviously don't know shit about politics |
just saw attorney general gonzalez on c-span talking about going after "internet porn" and "obscenity" and his plan seems to be to get local law enforcement more involved to police obscenity on a more "community" level... CP was mentioned once "internet porn" and "obscenity" a few times... those are direct quotes from his mouth and it is obvious what their intentions are
LMAO at "it's just about record keeping" |
Quote:
yeah, I can see how tough it would be to get rid of any banner with hardcore content, or that you didn't have records on. idiot. See, the difference between you and me is that if I have something up that I can't rely on my paperwork, I dump it. Not a problem. I can hear your story now though . . . "I got arrested because I had a website up that was critical of the Bush Administration." Just like last time. |
Bush sucks balls

The wheels were in motion, it did not matter who got elected. Bush is an idiot. Kerry would have been worse though. Quote:
However, if you think that there is going to be some negative political backlash to Bush's presidency due to the 2257 regs cutting in on the porn of the people, for the people and by the people, please wrap some of what you are smoking in a few layers of plastic wrap, twp layers of aluminum foil and stick it in a Tupperware container, then ship it to me, I would be forever greatful, and I will support whatever political rant you want to take. |
Quote:
CP is one thing. I would happily reprt that to the police if I had information about it, but this has nothing to do with CP...it is just convienent high moral ground to stand on and has nothing to do with the true intentions. |
Quote:
not that it matters in any way but I am getting air conditioning next week, lol |
Quote:
haha, yeah, I know my city has plenty of surplus money in the budget to have cops stay at the station and surf porn looking for sites that are owned by people in their jurisdiction. |

Okay, I get where you are going. My mistake. Now, would you mind telling me the legal definition of obscene, and what kind of content you are using, or a sponsor who you think meets that definition? |

not to beat a dead horse but http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=470235 that thread gives you an idea of how they are rallying the troops fpr action.... there isn't any evidence that they are specifically targeting adult webmasters but it shows you that they have the arms to reach out anywhere they want to

Did it ever occur to you that maybe this issue has been addressed before? People have been arguing about what is obscene since the 1830's and constantly since the end of the 1950's. While you may hate Republicans and Bush, there is a bright spot. Republicans appoint Supreme Court judges, and they appoint conservative judges. I love conservative judges, and believe me, I have more time in front of judges than 98% of the people here (at least), and I know to appreciate a conservative judge. Conservative judges go by the letter of the law. Liberal judges try to make a name for themself by saying gay marriages are okay, when the law plainly says it isn't (just an example). The point is, it is the Courts that are going to decide it, and just be glad that we have a conservative Supreme Court that rules in our favor all the time. |
the day bush was re-elected was one fo the saddest days no doubt - I can still remember the feeling of shock and dis-belief watching the tv as the totals came in - I still think it was rigged somehow - it just had to be.

No worried :thumbsup
