You can never just buy one. There are so many different carry situations. And weather/clothing plays a big factor. I personally own a lot of different handguns and I find myself throwing my Kel Tec .32 with hydra-shocks in my pocket more than anything else. Its light and small.

Pocket = Kel Tec .32
Shoulder Holster = Browning HiPower / Beretta 92FS / 1911
Hip Holster = H&K UPS / Sig / .38 or .380 revolver

Each person has his or her own preference to what they like to shoot/carry. When I first looked I spent weeks at the range and lots of pay checks. Personally for a semi-auto 9mm I perfer the Beretta 92FS or the HiPower.

A 9mm will stop a person if you have good ammo!!!!! Don't load it with cheap 115gr FMJ target rounds.

Stay away from glocks, they are hyped up! I just don't like the safety features. Very reliable but dangerous.
