San Francisco Bay Area is nice. You can get a 6 bedroom house around here for about 1.5 mil.

WTF??? how does a 6 bedroom house only cost 1.5 there when that's what it costs up here in seattle? your rent rates and cost of living are about 50% more than our shit here.... or are they?

Move here to L.A.
6 Bedroom house in the hills, 3-5mil.

My wife and I are looking at some nice 1 bedroom shacks for about 350k.

We decided (over this past weekend) that when we hit a certain income level (TBD) in this industry, we pack up and move to her homeland... MAUI!!

I can't wait!

Price's have really gone down, from 4 months ago. Just 1.5 million for a 6 bedroom is cheap for the Bay Area, must not have a pool

I moved to Fresno after living in the Bay Area for 20+ years....

That's for a fixer-up-er. Didn't say it would be a nice 6 bedroom or even in a good neighborhood.

6 room shack for that price up there is more like it amp.

There are different areas to Vegas, and the further out of the casino district, and especially the strip that you go, the more reasonable it gets.

Out by Summerlin seems to be a nice residential mix...

True... it might get you a 6 bedroom, but the whole thing is only 658 square feet. (no yard)

a decent 6 bedroom house can run from 250's to multi-millions...depends upon the neighborhood, age of the house, etc.

Summerlin and Green valley are decently priced and nicer neighborhoods...older Henderson is cheaper, but the homes are older, northwest area (city of North Las Vegas) is the oddest mix with slummy ghettos adjoining nicer gated communities...

the real high end areas are Seven Hills, Painted Desert, Scotch 80's, Lake Las Vegas and The Lakes (and of course where ever MarcDe and Toolz are living ;)))

This is a bit off the locale here, but damn those rates are fucking up there..
On the east coast..It's alot cheaper!!
In Massachusetss, the average for a 2-3 bdrm is 150K to 200K You can find 6 bdrms for 300k to 600K & up..

In New Hampshire & Maine, you can find alot of really nice bargains...

A nice 6bdrm house on the coast will run you less than 100K..
I've seen 2/3 bdrm houses on the beach going for under 50K..

2400 sq. ft. house with garage sitting on 250 acres of beautiful rolling hills...$250,000.00

but you have to love gophers and -36 Celcius temps in the winter - but it's a dry cold ;-)
