I hate the greasy gel look
Ive tried wax, it basically is the same thing only a bit better

i'm not a metro, but i use either hair paste or hair glue/putty. something like l'oreale remix or dippity do paste.

not a metro either... but use crew pomade with a little bit of water. if i want strong hold or just my wifes mousse if i want it style just a bit.

spiker is a good brand of paste. but it makes your hair feel pastey. i use crew gel, it makes it stiff and stay in place.
i'm not a trendy "metro" though.

There's a shit load of different waxes. I have one that is firm that doesn't feel very greasy. I like that one more than my softer one.
