It isnt. Wait till the majority of people uses firefox and we'll have EXACTLY the same problems as IE. Right now all the exploits are made for IE but this will simply move to FF as more and more people use it.
I bet within 1 or 2 years its smart to move back to IE when nobody is using it anymore. Way safer than FF

makes sense.
so you say it's just safer right now because these asswipe script kiddies haven't concentrated on poking holes in it because of it's low market penetration?
it seems like 85-90% of the world is still using IE, so your hypothesis makes sense, and it is mostly the techno geeks that are using firefox at this time.
ok, i think i got it

You must upgrade to version 1.0.4 or newer of Firefox before accessing the Mozilla Update web service. In order to keep your computer safe when using the Internet, it?s important to install new updates of Firefox as soon as they are available. Click on the Upgrade Now link to get the latest version of Firefox.Originally posted by DivX
I guess I'll have to check it out after I upgrade.
ThanksComment

Unforunately, there are a lot of nerds in basements all over the world spending every waking moment looking for vulnerabilities in software like Firefox, Internet Explorer, IIS, and so on.Originally posted by MickeyGyeah of course I do, I just wish we didnt have to update so frequently to get it. It's good to see they get things patched up and out the door asap, and it's probably a safe bet that as Firefox becomes more and more popular, more bugs will be exposed & fixed -- and eventually, they'll have a fairly stable product with infrequent updates.
Call it growing pains!Comment

I updated to the new version...
I was under the impression that Firefox is more protected from these attacks because of the opensource community seeing these vulnerabilities quicker than MS can and fixing them before they are exploited. Is that crap or fact? Most of you have WAY more technical know-how than I do, so I'll leave that to you!Comment
