I use directNIC, and I'm very happy with them. Super easy to manage all your domains, and registering domains costs $15.

Hey R3k! Whats up Railz?!

I've been using DotRegister and Enom but unless you buy in bulk, its a bit expensive.

I wrote DirectNic awhile back but they couldn't beat $10 a name for me, so I didn't use them.

I had been using Domain Name Systems for a long time too and thought it was a great service. Then, I started getting charged trying to transfer some domain names to them, from elsewhere. The transfers failed but I got charged for them anyway. Thats when I started moving out of there.

Damn, I love seeing guys fuss over domain prices, and how such a place is $2 cheaper than the next place. It's especially funny when they are going to earn thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars with that domain... lol.

I use 123-reg, it's like $40 for 2 years and they kick ass.

The difference between $15 per domain name and $10 per domain name is $10,000 per year (for 2,000 names). Do the math for $20 per name or more.

Is your registrar worth the extra $10,000+ per year? Little things like being charged extra for failed transfers start to matter more. When the volume is high, even $1 difference matters.

True but there are very few of us that have that many names I myself only have around 1200, and that's why I went with enom for $6.95 a domain You have to ask for that price but if you've got a few hundered names you can really get them to come down.
