    What's the GFY contest rule?

    I know that Lensman has new rules regarding contests here - are those just for contests that are run inside a special contest thread or does it even include announcing a contest which which isn't run in a thread on GFY?

    please advise - somebody with a clue hopefully - that should narrow it down considerably.
    I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

              any kind of contest with a prize - people got the idea that starting a contest thread on GFY would be cheaper advertising than buying a banner ad so you had a deluge of annoying contests with huge post counts - mostly sig whores and surfers looking to pick up a prize. Lensman made a new rule to regulate contests - only banner advertisers can make a contest thread now is the major rule. my question is are contest announcement threads ok still if the contest isn't going to be held in a thread on GFY.

                      actually, i think you're still allowed to make contest threads even if you don't have a top banner... but i think the rule he made was that you can't make contests for person who posts the most to win.... and that he would announce more rules as he made them? as far as i know he hasn't made any more announcements... or maybe i just missed them.. hope that helped
