seriously, he sits there at his computer while talking on icq or writing an email and he makes gesturing motions with his hands, like he's ACTUALLY carrying on a conversation with his computer .. very very strange.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

yeah, this is too easy. Considering that Brett's computer is in his bedroom.... Quit sleeping with him. You have your own house. Go there and you will not be subjected to this odd behavior.
