can someone help me with file permissions - GoFuckYourself.com

I'm trying to modify a scripts index.html file with dreamweavers ftp. I get this error:
An FTP error occurred: cannot put index.html
550 index.html: permission denied

I changed the permissions on the root and tried to change the permissions of the index.html itself but it won't let me. There are 2 other html files that i cant change permissions on either.

do you have SSH access?

if you have root access you just need to chmod 777 index.html
