| I use mainly Cubase, Soundforge and Fruityloops but mainly create all music from scratch (no pre-made loops, etc.) I haven't tried Reason - isn't it similar to Acid? |

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/701542/ and now I have one of these: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/709204/ I studied piano for 14 years and love to play around with this stuff for fun. I am never satisfied with what I come up with, but it's still a blast.

 | Reason is one of the greatest software applications ever written - period. i have 2.5. pay the ~ 300-400 bucks. it's worth it. also, get a cheap midi keyboad. i can't decide whether or not to upgrade to 3.0.

Have you actually sat down as used reason properly? It's vastly more than fruity loops. Not that im king shit when it comes to audio software but reason is pretty special - not the greatest thing ever, but it's more than what you think it is. Anyways personally i'll be getting an Mbox with protools and BFD in the next week or so.
