Did you pick Sony? good choice if you did.

I'm in the market for a new laptop but Sony stopped making the X505 and the replacement isn't upto much in comparison.

Currently got Sony and it has been fine for nearly 2 years

I just went through the process of buying for one. They kick ass over any other option - and i went over Apple, Dell, IBM, Toshiba, Compaq/HP, Alienware, Sony.

I have a laptop w/ DVD Burner / wifi / bluetooth / 1280x768 / usb / firewire / memory card reader (v. cool) / lan / TV out / svideo out / 80gb hdd / 750mb ram / INBUILT wireless logitech mouse / inbuilt 1.3MP webcam / camera / mic / up to 7 hours battery

weighs only 1.6KG, and less than an inch thick.
Amazing.

I have the ASUS BuiltOn :thumbsup and it's awesome!

Third time overheating which lead to it shutting down. On the fourth one now. I now will only buy Dell since I have had wonderful luck with them. I also had an HP Pavillion laptop once. OMG, what a piece of junk that was. But I am inclined to think it was because of the OS. :2 cents:
