Ibill Gripes - Declined Declined Declined

Does anyone here know what is going on with Ibill? We are hearing from our clients that as many as 50% of cards are being declined.

By our analysis our traffic is higher than ever on our sites, but our revenue is creeping down due to billing problems. We have been using Ibill for years but it's only been the last 6 months that have been trouble. Is CCBill better?

Thanks for any input.

Want to know who really is better? Globill, talking excellent stats, good scrubbing but not too hard, credit crads go into grace period to reduce chargebacks and they make it difficult for the user to go into their bank and charge back

My chargebacks are 0.6% and my income since i changed to Globill as increased 20%, Oh and no problems like Ibill and CCBill have had in previous weeks:
http://www.globill-systems.com/cgi-b...?parent=218268

or go globill.com obviously using my refer link would be cute

I have use Ibill in the past as my main processor. Had to change.
They put alot of there customer support back on the webmaster and it took too much of my time. (Time is money to me sinse I have a studio I also run)
Now I use CCbill as the main and Ibill as a secondary processor.
The combination seems to work out well.
I know Ibill is having some issues with there tech staff.
Life has been much easier on me since I made the change

As a small webmaster I will not sign up
for any partner programs that use ibill,
verotel.com or globill any longer..

ibill, why too many problems, verotel
make's me enter a 16 digit code (fuck that)
globill, some of you pay site owners have
more that one site, with globill I have to
sign up for all of them.

I have yet to see one you pay site owns ask,
what do you small webmasters think about
so and so credit processor. Now of course if you do not offer a partner program,
you really don't care do you and from what I've seen the ones that do have partner programs do not care either.

I stopped using IBill a year ago...terrible customer service and it takes them forever to answer clients emails...Been with Glo-Bill ever since and don't regret it at all.
Tried Verotel briefly for 900 signups and stopped using them - the thing for me was that they in order to get your checks from them they want your credit card info...since when does a webmaster have to supply their credit card info to get a check?

They no longer ask for this, and agreed there support is kickass send them an e-mail 1 hour later usually a reply and when I had a problem (i wanted to track signups from specific ppc keywords) they wrote a cgi program for me to do this

I know SixNine had a major issue with Globill emailing members to let them know they were going to get rebilled, and left Globill because of it. Maybe he'll have some insite on the subject.

Yeah... I used website billing on one of my sites. Its a small site that usually gets 20 signups a day. I added website billing and that number went to 0-1 signups per day. So, I tried my credit card to signup and I was declined. Out the door website billing went. At that time Rick was one of only two tech support reps for the whole company. They advertise 24 hour support but theres none on the weekend. When I questioned this I was told "they check their mail from time to time on the weekends". Nice....

BTW, we used Ibill too up until last week. This last time Ibill went down all our sites went right back to ccbill. CCBill charges us less so we passed those savings on to our resellers and they applauded us. We converted 100% of our resellers and gave them a 5% raise. We also got new resellers by word of mouth due to the payout increase. Something is very wrong over at Ibill. All the reps are hiding like rats and the owner actually paid Ibill headquarters a visit. Im told thats a big deal cause he never goes there.

Like the average gallery makers mind could comprehend what it must take to run an operation like iBill or ccBill?

Your opinions are all mute.

They're still asking for that and I think that's great. My theory is that's one reason they can accept more signups without causing chargebacks. It's one thing to do an AVS check, but that's not really determining if it's the owner of the card, that's only determining the thief knows the guy's billing address. Asking for info that can only be known by having the card in your possession is brilliant. It's just another extra effort that Globill does which sets them apart from the McDonalds of billing companies.

I had my time under ibill's spell. Tremendous charge backs, bad credit card processing, TERRIBLE and I mean NASTY customer support!!! I sent an E.Mail to activate a new site, and... I got a response back 12 days later! At that time globill had processed over 60 clients, so I wrote back and said what? I said: "Go Fuck Yourself"! A true happy ending! ibill truly makes globill stand out specially with their technical & customer support! You are guarranteed HELP from globill's techs the same day and, lordy... I praise them!

1) It doesn't help against "friendly" chanrgebacks - anyone who is using their own CC - knows their bank

2) It doesn't help against REAL scammers - the first six digits of a credit card will usually indicate which bank it is from. All a scammer needs to know is probably 20 banks or so to cover 80% of credit cards (this is a guess, but come on - capital one, bank of america, ....)

3) As long as it really is on the back of every credit card - and they can really keep track of this - I don't see it as too much of a problem - as long as they make it easy for the consumer.

It is true - the average gallery poster does know what is involved in running a company like iBill. I am not saying I do, but I can say - In 10 years of retail - I can only recall one period of downtime.

It is just unacceptable for a company involved in financial processing to have this many problems. Companies like Walmart do half a million a minute in business. Do you think they would put up with downtime like that from their bank?

Granted no porn company does that, but it is just as problematic if not more. There is no excuse. If eTrade had problems like that - the SEC would probably shut them down. Just because it is porn - doesn't mean it is any better. I don't recall even PayPal having these types of problems.

The way I see it - this is no less important than hosting - as long as the back end of Visa/MC is up - they should be running 99.99% of the time.

You don't have to be an expert to expect the best. Someone will eventually fill the niche that iBill has - with quality and good service. Maybe that will be globill, I don't know. All I know is that when there is a need - someone will fill it - even if it takes a while.

Asking for the bank's phone # is bullshit. You don't want to disturb the customer in that special moment when he is filling out the form. It helps preventing chargebacks? So where does it end. Why not ask even more like his mommys name? Many people won't have the # number of their bank handy cuase they do things called online bankink and hardly every call their bank. But even worse quite a few will think uhmm will they call my bank and talk with them about that "pregnant fisting cum in your face" site I was going to buy a membership for? It's not mandatory? Then why even ask? They can have 48hr support a day that means nothing. Doing stuff like that bank # thingy means they don't really understand the adult biz and don't care about the bottom line of their customers but only their ridiculous fear of the holy holy possible charge back. Quite a few people here seem to think every 3rd card is bad. That's wrong. Cards get refused for as BS reasons such as the IP address doesn't match the continent of where the card holder lives in. Or perhaps doesn't match. Since IP blocks change hands too.
It makes me laugh how people fall for those processor scam. They just try to make it ultra "secure" on their end and put it on your neck. And you applaude and say great less "cheaters" lmao

For those that where asking how much WSB charges after the initial trial, we will match whatever your current processor is offering you and drop it by .5% for adding a small wsb logo to your main page. If your volume falls into a category that we can offer you a lower rate then we will adjust it accordingly. Remember, we will match it and even lower it depending on your volume, but we will not go above your current processors rate.

Ibill has been great for me, been using them for three years never a missed or late payment. they been having some problems latly but they all have problems at times.
i have heard horror stories from ccbill as well as others..

you need to call them and any problem you have gets fixed almost instantly. screw the e-mailing.

only thing i can say maybe i get good service because my paysite makes pretty good $$ and they get there cut. im sure if your running a paysite that makes $20 a day your not there first concern..hehee
