It's WAR... death happens. Fuck the rules. Kill or be killed, wounded and hostages included. If you can't go to WAR like that, don't go.

If it were really that harsh maybe, just maybe people would think twice about supporting ANY war. But when you sugar coat it and have "rules of engagement" and never show the carnage on TV (like they did in Vietnam) the public doesn't have to see the grotesqueries and brutality of the real deal, therefore supporting such horrible acts.

Either you go to war or you don't. But if you do don't cry about the Geneva Conventions, crimes against humanity or abusive behavior. Kill anything in your path, taking photos along the way. If you can't do that, you don't need to go into combat.

They get caught instead of killed. :helpme They should execute anyone who FIRES AGAINST THEM and is captured. Now, if a soldier does NOT engage in combat and surrenders beforehand, yes, he can be a POW. But if your shooting at me and then you get captured? No way. Not in my rule book.

well thats what we are discussing.... if someone is shooting at you... by all means shoot back... but if some iraqi is lying in a hospital bed injured from a gunshot to the face 3 days prior... and then an american soldier knows he is no threat and kills him... thats wrong.

Well, for one thing you would have to be taken prisoner. I have yet to hear of anyone taking a dead guy prisoner. While they don't eat much, it is a little difficult to drag them around.

I love it when people decide to introduce post counts into a thread. Post count means fuck all and anybody who suggests otherwise is not worth listening to. Indeed there is. I believe one of them says something about him feigning death, or that he's still alive, or something along those lines. Then the guys shoots him and say's "not anymore", or something similar. It's been a while since I saw it on the news.

I used the word kid with you for fun. I use those words with SonOfBitch because he's a 19 year old kid who has proven multiple times that he still has a lot of real world experience to accumulate. This makes him a kid in my eyes because I am 31. Just as somebody at baddog's old age could say the very same abut me.

The incident occurred as a Marine battalion was taking part in a U.S.-led counteroffensive intended to secure Fallujah so national elections can go ahead in January as scheduled....The Marine battalion stormed an unidentified mosque Saturday in southern Fallujah after taking casualties from heavy sniper fire and attacks with rocket-propelled grenades. Ten insurgents were killed and five others were wounded in the mosque and an adjacent building.
Sites saw the five wounded men left behind on Friday still in the mosque. Four of them had been shot again, apparently by members of the squad that entered the mosque moments earlier. One appeared to be dead, and the three others were severely wounded. The fifth man was lying under a blanket, apparently not having been shot a second time.

One of the Marines noticed that one of the severely wounded men was still breathing. He did not appear to be armed, Sites said. The Marine could be heard insisting: ?He?s f---ing faking he?s dead ? he?s faking he?s f---ing dead.?
