Traffic trading and sending to a warning page

I posted this on another board and got some interesting replies. Wanted to see what the GFY community thinks.

If the surfers come from an adult site, why should they get a warning page

I don't mean like sending to the warning page for prevention of minors...I mean using it to filter and also send to an FPA before they hit any free content...like thumbzilla.com.

Yeah, I can't see any bad things about that, as long its a fair trade traffic back.

Just wondering if anyone with a decent sized site could share some information and experiences. I'm running this method on a small site and the FPA pulls clicks and the traffic out is very good quality, but it's hard to grow the trades as I send out less than I recieve. |

the only big sites that do this have been around for ages. unless you goal is 100k a day in 5 years you idea is stupid.

trades wont mind overall but you will loose alot of traffic at the warning page so you will have to spend alot of feeder just to be able to return to trades. i personaly love trading with sites that have warning pages

The 'warning page' has been virtually obsoleted by the search engines.

Now anyone can land anywhere on your site and often, most site entries will not be on the warning page. In theory SEs which send you to an adult destination have some sort of filtering/warning in place, but that may not be what you have. I put all my important legal prose at the bottom of each page to be safe. -Dino |
