that sucks and glad they caught it and bigb is in good hands. my prayers are with him for a successful operation, speedy recovery, and it just hurts even to read this thread. bigb is always the nicest and most upbeat guy and a pleasure to be around, so get well soon and mess with the nurses for fun over there!

Update
BigB went into surgery by 7:20 this morning. He'll be changing rooms so he asked everyone not to call as it will not get to him. We don't know what his new room # will be after surgery, but he said he won't be able to talk on the phone for a couple of days. Everyone is optimistic and hoping for a smooth surgery.

Update
BigB is out of surgery and in the recovery room. The surgery went well. He did not need any additional blood. Initial analysis shows the cancer was localized and did not show any signs of having spread, however they still have more tests to run.
