Jon used the GFY Challenege to SCAM me and Machine Gun Kelly out of thousands of.....

On April 11th Jon with AWStuff, Gallery Serve and The GFY Challenge ICQ'd me to see if I was interested in advertising in the GFY Challenge. After getting some info from him and talking to him on the phone it sounded like a great deal. He promised I would be the only host allowed to advertise and that he would throw in some free advertising at the Montreal show as well.

The next day, April 12th, I spoke with Jon 3 times on the phone. Once to confirm Western Union payment of $2,000, another time to confirm his address, and a 3rd time to confirm that he he received the money. After April 12th I contacted Jon numerous times VIA email, ICQ, and phone. I left him 5 voice mail messages and then yesterday, May 1st, both phone numbers for him were disconnected. I have not heard from Jon since April 12th.

He promised Machine Gun Kelly $1,000 to design the website and never paid. Machine Gun Kelly spoke with Jon numerous times, but has not heard from him in the last two weeks and neither have I.

We both felt with the people who were backing this challenge it had to be legit, but we got scammed.

Why do we think we got scammed?

The last time I talked to Jon was when he was picking up the money at Western Union. After that he never replied to me. As of May 1 both of his phone numbers were disconnected. He has been off of ICQ and the boards for over almost 3 weeks.

Jon took me for $2,000 and promised Machine Gun Kelly $1,000.

MachineGUnKelly is a great designer and really nice guy and I am glad Hostive finally said somthing.

Jon Contacted me and I told him I wouldn't work before being paid .

Anyway one way or another I was convinced to start once I saw lensman and ADULT.com were backing it .

I was supposed to recieve my payment of $1000 the day hostive sent his off ..

Well I can attest to the fact MGK and Hostive have been pretty throrough in looking for Jon. They both didn't want to say anything until today.

Jon is you can read this go to your local 7-11 and call the police with the kidnapping story... oops sorry getting threads confused here.

For real though Jon if you are seeing this you need to contact these guys and straighten it out.

A lot of people backed you on this project and wanted to see it followed through ... many of us were waiting to see the challenge happen.

I thought something may have happened to him at first, also. That's why I gave him so much time. I left him numerous voice mail messages in hopes that if something did happen to him someone related to him or close to him would check the messages and reply. When BOTH of his phone numbers were disconnected that was a sign to us that he was scamming.

BUT , you gotta admit Western Union isnt exactly the bermuda triangle

HE was supposed to pay me from WU the day he was there to pick up the money ........... So when did it happen ?
Did he pick up the money then get shot before he could send mine ?

I slow released the design cause I became suspicious ,
so he actually never ended up getting the full version or the flyers etc he ordered but they are done and I even turned down a bunch of you for that week cause I was supposed to be so busy with this GFY challenge stuff ..

guess all I have now is a reminder why I started charging upfront .... and I'm gonna be twice as strict now .
