Wow looks as though my attempts to share what I thought would be usefu software has turned into a drama/bashing thread. That's always fun.
Let me re-iterate what happened with your friend Iwantchixx, being that I don't know who you are and I'm assuming you heard second-hand from your friend what happened.
If my assumptions are correct, your friend is Lex. He contacted me about re-designing a template for NoModels.com, we agreed upon $50 USD to start, the balance paid later if necessary, and I was told not to rush it, that he wasn't in a hurry. So for this reason I pushed the project to the back-burner. A week or so goes by and Lex contacts me, irate that I have nothing to show him (and before you rape me for this, it could be longer, hell it could have been a month as you say, I don't know for certain). So I bust my balls completing a design for him that night, send him the draft, and a few days he replies saying that he thinks it'd be better for each of us if the project were to be taken elsewhere. I tell him I'll gladly refund his $50 USD when I have available funds. Some time goes by and without money in PayPal, I contact my friend to make the refund from his account. All was taken care of and both parties ended in good terms.
I will always admit my faults, and my turnaround time is occasionally one of them. I oftentimes run sales or specials and in doing so amount more work than I expect, so each project takes a bit longer than I imagined. Nysus and another client of mine have both been waiting a week for their designs, and I absolutely take responsibility for the delay, but for the most part it's out of my hands. I finish projects as they come in, and where people end up in my queue is when their work is returned.
