Chasing the Green Dick Called PR (page rank)

I'm so sick and tired of hearing about page rank I could fucking puke!

"PR3 site looking for HL trades"

"Looking to trade links with PR2 to PR4 sites"

"Selling your site? What's the the page rank?"

Page rank don't mean shit! It's Googles way of gaining more attention from webmasters like you and me, and it's working like a charm. Think about it...Does a higher PR mean you get a higher listing in the SERPs? Hell no!

Does a PR6 site get more traffic than a PR1 site? Fuck no, it's totally unrelated.

So...tell me...what's the big deal? What does that little green bar do for you?
I'll tell you...it does nothing, nada, zilch! It's all in your mind...it's a psychological ploy.

Is page rank an indication of a websites stature? No..new sites have been known to receive an instant PR5 or 6.

Listen to this...My PR 5 site was not even in the top gazillion under my one of my major key word phrases. After many months Google dropped me to a PR4 then to a PR3. Guess what? My PR3 site gets more traffic and is listed in the top 9-15 listings under those same key words. When it was a PR5 I'd get maybe 5 hits a month from Google.

For the life of me I just can't see why so many webmasters are so foolishly in love with that little green bar. It's baffling to me.

What ever happened to the days when webmasters would trade links according to relevancy?

Seems a lot of us are only interested in chasing that little green dick.

I agree to a certain extent, pagerank meant more a year ago than it does now, and google is very spammy right now, yahoo traffic is much better for me

I agree to a certain extent... I've seen pages dominate some sweet keywords with a PR0, while high PR pages were to be found on pages 6 thru 8... who the fuck knows. the truth is out there.

If you have a term and several brands, can you stuff you meta keywords with "brand1 term, brand2 term, brand3 term, brand4 term,..." or is repeating considered meta stuffing?

Page rank has nothing to do with traffic (mostly), correct. It does however give the user/analyst/whoever about the size and organization of your site. For example, how many pages indexed (size), and the organization of it (tree structure, back links on all pages, etc).

Based on that, I always have a ton of advertisers offering me 2,3, and 400 bucks a month to put their textlinks on my PR5 site. Now that is a solid example of me making decent money on Page Rank, that "green dick" that you think is worthless. I think otherwise.

I agree that 90% of people here don't truly understand what PR means, but it's far from useless if you know how it works and how to use it...

Ok...so please explain this to me: It's only a 4 page site

http://www.sex-free-teen.com/Galleri...ies/index.html

I find it hard to believe that someone would pay just for PR. (Not saying they don't) This must be a high traffic page also.
