I will admit that I am not the best at doing my own makeup and hair as that is not what I do for a living. I have, however, been fortunate to learn a few tricks here and there from some really talented people.

I did my makeup myself for this shoot as there wasn't a makeup artist provided. The shot you were referring to was taken at the end of the day and my makeup was a little worn off by this point of the day. And the shadows are a bit harsh so it might appear to be darker than the color actually was. Plus, I forgot my sharpener for my lipliner so the tip of it was not sharp. I did the best that I could do... so think what you want about me.

And I am totally at a loss with what you mean by the "gangster" comments.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on that one.

I know what its like to do have to do your own make-up. It sucks. Usually ask for one but sometimes they dont want to pay for it. We all have pictures we hate. I have thousands of them! I want to delete so many pictures sometimes...but I get stopped cause its content. Everyone has an opinion and you cant give into negative things. If I gave in to every person that thought i was fat...didnt have my make up done right and so on, I would end up one very sad person. Keep your head up girl!

I'm not letting it get to me but it honestly annoys the crap out of me that people think that everything about me is fake. I used to get it all the time but I thought it would die down a bit once I became brunette again. Everyone thinks I have lip injections and I don't and I have the pics to prove it.

I did pay for my lips (not thru a doctor) but in a big way with all the teasing that I got from kids in school. But my "monkey lips" made it on the cover of a few magazines so I'm having the last laugh now. :)

Thanks for taking the time to respond to this. :)

I usually do request hair and makeup too or sometimes (because I am such a perfectionist) come out of my own pocket to hire someone myself because I like the way it looks in the photos so much better. Usually I can go to the M.A.C. store and get my makeup done there but they weren't open by the time that I had to leave for my shoot, so I just did my own.

And yes, I agree about hating pics. We are always our own harshest critics. However, I've found that some photos that I hate, people love. Everyone has their own taste so it's best to let them decide which pics. And I've heard the fat comments and a zillion other negative crap all throughout my life too. Like you, I put it out of my mind and have proven people wrong and have been fortunate to accomplish a lot of really big things in my life, just as you have! Congrats to you for all of your success. You deserve it! I've known about you for quite a while but I've never had the opportunity to meet you. But from what I've heard and seen, you seem to be a very down to earth and intelligent person aside from being gorgeous. Best of luck to you in all that you do! :)
