Just because something is under a doctors supervision does not make it safe. Prescription drugs cause more than 100,000 deaths each year and injure 2.2 million people each year. This doesnt even include the side effects of prescription drugs years down the road, and not to mention they don't cure a damn thing. It is a big fucking scam that nobody questions. The doctors make money from it, the drug companies are some of the richest companies in the world, and politicians get huge contributions from it. There is not a single drug a doctor will prescribe that is natural, drug companies cannot patent anything natural so there is no money to be made and they are never even tested, in fact they do everything they can to discredit anything natural. Ask a doctor about a certain herb and he'll roll his eyes. They are taught this in medical school which receives huge donations from the drug companies. Is Valium more safe than marijuana? They would like you to believe it is but the reality is marijuana has never killed a single person, so why is it illegal?

Legalized drug pushing, nothing more, nothing less.

That's harsh. My whole family had colds and we could not purchase more than one bottle of cold medicine at a time. WTF?
All the cold tabs, claritin and whatnot are under locked glass at Welgreens.

Stick with natural herbal drugs. Stay away from things that are made with chemicals and lab equipment.

I agree about 99.9%....however these people would not look like that on clinical meth, i took it for 6 years to help with a small a.d.d. problem, yes it can make you paranoid & disturb sleep patterns, but so can pot.

The issue i am raising....these things should be legalized & dealt in a controlled eviroment, otherwise you're getting toxic chemicals from some hillbilly & yes it will kill you & do that to your face.

Take the $ out of illegal drugs & watch drug users become healthier & stop committing crimes. Plain & simple.

There was a thread a while back (wish I could remember who started it) but it showed a woman's life through various mugshots.

She started out as a pretty good looking woman to looking like she was 90 and on the verge of death. And this was in a span of 5 years. Pretty scary shit!

You know I use to agree with your opinion. Its still very valid. But Ive come to agree with the school of thought that says, make something legal, it makes it more easily to get hold off, which in turn makes more people do it. Meth is one thing we dont want more people doing

I totally agree with you. The problem is special interests keep drugs illegal, from the pharmaceuticals to the prison industry to law enforcement. They all have an interest in keeping drugs illegal. If drugs we to become legal tomorrow half the prisons in this country would shut down and half the cops would be out of a job. Crime would go down significantly.

As far as drug users becoming healthier, I read a study about heroin addicts and how it effected their health. They were given physicals at the beginning of the study and were monitored at various times why they were still doing heroin. They concluded that addicts that had healthy meals and that took care of themselves in other ways were physically as healthy as non heroin addicts. I really believe big corporations and government are not interested in a crime free/drug free/disease free society, its not profitable.

Do you really believe that? People are going to do it if its illegal or not, all it does is burden society when a large amount of people start doing something that is illegal and it doesnt stop anyone from doing it. In high school it was much easier to get a hold of weed than beer. Even now it would be easier for me to get an eight ball of coke than it would to get a six pack of Coors because the coke dealer delivers.

Yup, its far easier to get coke than just about anything else...its fucking everywhere again just like in the 70's.

Yes, you have to stop and look at the alternative. At the moment its illegal and easy to get hold of. What if you could buy it at a high street store, combine that with the black market wouldnt that make it easier to get hold of and more socially excepted?

I often hear the argument. Things like "but it would be liceneced" or "it woulkd be controlled" No it wouldnt. You would still have the same amount of drug sealers selling it. Plus legal places. Plus on top of all that it would would have no social stigma or recourse. All you would end up with is more drugs available to more people earlier.

The very fact that you legalise it, by its very nature, could never meen you could have less of it. By its very nature it meens you can only have more of it

What? You're saying if drugs were legal there would still be drug dealers? Bullshit. Alcohol is legal, where are all the boot leggers? I know, its a real problem. Same thing with cigarettes, where are all the underground cigarette dealers?

Personally I don't think all drugs should be available to anyone at the local drug store. But I do think hardcore drug use should be treated as a health issue and not a criminal issue. The fact that people are spending 10 years in prison for a gram of cocaine is beyond insane. I think if someone is a drug addict they should be able to get the drugs from a doctor under the condition that they get treatment.

As far as marijuana goes there is no reason whatsoever for it to be illegal, none. Alcohol is a hundred times more dangerous than weed, anyone that argues against that needs to be tied down and have a gallon of vodka shoved down their throat.

Agreed, I dont know anywhere that people who get causght with personal quantities of cocaine get prison. If they do in the states, thats fucked up.

There are not any, because you can buy cigarettes in three or four places down any street. Do you want to be able to buy Meths or Heroin three or four places down any street?

Making something legal meens more people use it period. You cant argue that if its legal less people will use it. Or is that what you are honestly saying? If its made legal less people will use it? Or will it be exactly the same? Or will it be more?
