Just saw "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room" (Review Inside)
![]() ![]() Two thumbs up. It got a 97% on rotten tomatoes so i had high expectations and I honestly feel it lived up to them. Not quite on the level of Startup Dot Com or Supersize Me from the entertainment side of things. But its extremely interesting and does a nice job showing what happend in the scandle. You'll get to see the inner workings and what exactly each of these dip shits did. Kenneth Lay gets most the press but as you can imagine its a lot deeper than just Lay and Skilling. Very cool to hear the actual recorded conversations of the oil traders and energy traders especially during the California rolling blackouts. The film even shows how Arnold got his foot in the door for the recall in Cali and shows some interestiing Bush family involvement with Kenneth Lay over the years. As with any documentary, i'm sure they have exagerated to make some points...but that has to be expected. Only bad thing is you'll probably have to go to an artsy fartsy theatre to see it ![]() |
