Any recommendations for an ultra-light, compact lighting solution?

As a lot of you already know, I'll be shooting content all summer in Central America, and will be traveling around a lot, frequently backpack style. I can't likely carry heavy equipment everywhere I go, but need to control lighting. Can anybody recommend a portable, light-weight, compact and inexpensive lighting solution?

(Some friends of mine are dragging me out to see Amityville Horror in a few minutes, so if I don't reply immediately, I'll do so when I return. Thanks in advance.)

I hope that you do realize that summer - coming soon to North America - is actually winter in South America - and its starting to get cold as shit there

Thanks Dean. I was looking into them, but was concerned with the size/weight once you added umbrellas, stands, relays, etc. How compact are the B400s with all the gear?

That's why I'm sticking to Central America: Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama... Of course, I'm going to have to deal with the rainy season...*sigh*

I don't actually use that particular model of light but I would have no problem
using them if I was concerned about size & weight. I wouldn't buy them if I was going to be backpacking with them though. Maybe you could get by with just an on-camera flash? Anything else is going to be bulky.
