Wireless web cam w/ built in server? recommendations?
Can anyone recommend a wireless web cam solution that does not require PCs?
Considering buying several wireless web cams for home security and other broadcasting ventures... wondering if anyone at GFY has tried any cams on the market... found mixed reviews for the LINKSYS WIRELESS B, better reviews for G... but would like to hear from people in this industry... Wireless-B Internet Video Camera http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=566&scid=38 Wireless-G Internet Video Camera http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=38&prid=650 ![]() Quote:
any comments? complaints? reviews? suggestions? etc? anyone used the Linksys B's or G's for home use or broadcasting? thanks in advance... |

just got off the phone w/ DLINK support and they told me to wait till end of May2005 for their new line: http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=411 wireless G w/ 2 way audio, remote pan, tilt, zoom & optical zoom... but sticker price is $900+ ![]() ouch. I need to buy 6+ cams so I'll look at their other cam options for now. anyone used this one before: ![]() http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=342 $450 at ecost: http://www.ecost.com/ecost/ecsplash/...pno~481093.asp thanks for all the feedback... and CHIO, what kind of problems did the LINKSYS give you? was it the B or G cams? . |

I'm starting to think $900 isn't too bad after checking out a few more cams/sites

Yeah that's the one I have 2 of. The linksys was crap, video was so slow, and didn't have ccd. Trust me get the d-link.

have a look to axis products this one for eg: http://axis.com/products/cam_206w/index.htm
they have great products, plus you can easily customise the OS for some of them. Have a look to the demo gallery http://axis.com/solutions/video/gallery.htm
