Don't get me wrong - I believe in free speech. I just find it ironic that he's bashing the people who protect his right to free speech.

I'm former military. I'm a nice guy, rather friendly, and don't get up set often. But that's bullshit. The only two professions that should make over $100k a year are teachers and those who serve in the military.

I don't agree with the guy's site at all, but your troops are not in any way "protecting or defending you" from anything. They're killing foreigners to expand the American empire, and to increase the profits of certain corporations, period. Saying that the troops in Iraq are somehow defending America is pretty fucking childish.

I see what you're saying and I think it's how you are wording it that is confusing people. "Rights" afforded to people are given purely through law, rules, man-made principles, shit like that. I think the "rights" you are voicing are more governed by "free-will", something of which is innate (not made up) to all free thinking people. Or something like that.

now, my personal thoughts on this, are that the soldiers should get paid MUCH MORE, and need to be taken care of when they get back to the states. i'm actually appalled at the way the bush administration has been handling our armed service personal. especially for the people and their families who are unfortunate enough to have lost a loved one, or had a loved one injured.

And still more billions are going to Iraq. For that money, they could educate MANY MANY people. Innovate, help poor people etc. When people are more educated, and have more changed of succes, the change that they will become violent is smaller. I think many are confused on that point or simply too far up their own ass to see it. No sane person would think the troops get paid too much (you can in fact make very good arguments for the opposite). However, that's an entirely different thing from free speech, even for the twat with the site, and whether or not they should be there in the 1st place.

Way misguided. The troops dont have any control over how much they get paid. The Government determines that. It should be forsakethegovernment or forsakethemilitary. These guys see service opportunity to learn and a steady job - some have other reasons but it's definitly not the tax benefits. Geeze LOL

BTW, My brother in law has been in Iraq for a total of 2 years now. I hope our boys overseas dont find this site - they are under enough stress.
