If I put two CRT monitors next to each other...

Will i have interferences due of electromagnetic fields?

If yes, what separation is recommended

I know many webbies here have like 4 monitors next to each other, what is your experience?

cheers.

Sometimes you can notice slow scan lines if they're right next to each other, but changing the refresh rate or resolution can often get rid of them. With my new desk I'm running four of them (3 bottom row, one top middle) & they're seperated by about four inches. Haven't noticed any problems at that distance whatsoever.

I have seen them side by side, and seperated. I think it depends on the monitor it's self. Try to use the same type, and make sure that the refresh rate is set differently on each one.

most monitors have shielding to prevent that. just dont set a big ass speaker next to them and you'll be fine

If you get interference put on a tin foil cap and put your head between them!

I had two CRT's bside each other before and didn't have a problem.
But if you get interference you could probably put a thin sheet of some metal (foil maybe?) between them and ground it.

i have that setup on my desk. they are about 8 inches apart. they work fine, but everytime one is on, and i turn the other one it makes the screen go all funny for a second. i'm sure in the llong run it's not healthy for the CRT.
