Those of you that ride motorcycles....

Here is a good reason to wear your protective gear:
http://www.r6messagenet.com/forums/s...3&page=1&pp=10

So dont be a squid... if its too hot to wear your gear, you shouldnt be riding in the first place.

I laugh my ass off when I see kids wearing flip flops and shorts. Its all good- summers coming up and we'll have another bunch of idiots trying to wheelie in a t-shirt and shorts.

Yeah, thats your typical squid.

The guy in the pics was wearing a jacket, helmet and gloves... but he should have had on riding pants and better foot gear. Would have saved him alot of pain and skin.

Most people just ride in the summer, and the #1 reason they dont wear gear.. its too hot

Looking at the damage to his bike, i'm really wondering how fast he was taking that corner- plus it looks like its on a local street, its not like hes riding on the track or doing twisities. I guess he was bored and wanted to practice his knee dragging techniques but forgot his knee pucks.

plus, doing that kind of shit in the dark is not the smartest way to ride.

Judging from the expression on this guy's face and the fact that we have so "thorough" a pictorial record of the accident, I'd say this is a Jackass wannabe, looking to get laid by doing daring acts of Enormous Stupidity.

I bet a lot of chicks read that biker board --

My buddy went down at 75 mph.

He was being stupid and was going 145 mph on I-4 then he slowed down to 75.

Well a girl next to him in a honda civic was on the cell phone...She was riding this 4x4 trucks ass going about 75..The truck break checked her and she paniced and swerved into the fast lane. My buddys GSXR front tire go stuck under her front left wheel whell...He went down She wrecked.. and the truck driver speed off....

his exact words.. Man.. I just got done doing 145mph and I was still in 5th gear at 5000 rpms I gunned it when I saw the shit fly and my bike went "put put put" And I said oh fuck and jumped and rolled

Out of that damage he broke his foot He had 1000.00 worth of protective gear on

he's been really lucky then
You can wear protective gear, but most of the times if you do not wear protective gear you only get ugly...but you wont die from it (besides helmet)
However most riders die because of braking their neck etc.. something you can't do much about, even if you wear protective gear worth 10 grand

And people wonder why all us harley riders cant stand all the crotch rocket riders, they make our insurance go up, they ride like idiots and they act like this idiot. People will never understand a motorcycle that weights 400lbs with 145 horsepower is not for a unexperienced (or even alot of experienced) riders. Ill stick with my slow and steady harleys

From his clothing, his bike, his expression and followup w/grinning pictures, this is the type of asshole that shouldn't even be on the road, bike OR car. Question that is unanswered is what totally foolish "thing" was he doing when he went down? That's not mentioned. No. We wouldn't want to public to know how far we have our head up our asses when we ride, would we? Only want to show the "bangup" aftermath so we can get some sympathy.

I've rode Harleys for over 20 years now. I have a pair of regular riding boots. Most of the year, I ride in a tee shirt, use the leather jacket on highway runs and rarely use a helmet. I like to hear my traffic BEFORE they put me in a position of pain. I have never played "the village idiot" on any of my bikes. Sorry, pendejo, they just cost too much to be a fucking "toy." Right now, my bike probably is worth more than most of the cars you guys drive.

No sympathy here. There are far more of you "rice jockeys" hurt and killed each year than us old Harley fucks. Ever wonder why? We respect the road AND our machines. We KNOW they will slap us the moment we take our minds off "the run." Riding Harleys isn't fun, it's work. But, the work is "pleasurable." Controlling an 800 Lb machine is NOT easy. Piss on anyone who tells you differently. But the pleasure is undefinable.
