Any good task mgmt. software out there?

I'm looking for something where the admin can set tasks and give them a priority, assign a person responsibility for completing the task and allow comments from both the administrator and worker.

I used to have a nice little piece of software that did this but it's long lost and everything I can google up looks way too bulky and overcomplicated. Anyone using something really nifty for task management?

too convoluted, I'm looking for something simple.

Project, priority, person doing it, current status. That's all I need to know
