Here we go again with what I've been saying for the last 5yrs. I agree with mostly everything you said. Since day , my fhg's are nonnude and/or very limited nudity. Even on my tours, I don't have explicit images. I bust my ass finding my girls and I don't need to give shit away to make a sale. To be honest with you, my best affiliates are the ones that user my teaser stuff, verses, the few topless images I have in the content section. Anyway, I make sales regardless! I'm not a big proggy and I don't claim to be. If the surfer really wants to see your site, they'll pay :2 cents:

You're trying to unring a bell....it isn't going to happen.
Also my take on things is alot different. Here are 2 reasons for the drop in productivity over the years. 1) The influx of foreign surfers to the web. In the early days it was primarily US traffic on the net, obviously this traffic converts alot better than foreign traffic who have no payment vehicle to purchase a subscription for your site. (And most of them couldn't afford it anyways) 2) Shitty members areas. There was a trend a few years ago where sponsors came out with as many "niche" sites as they could, some of them had well over 100. Of course these weren't individual sites, they were just different tours for the same members area that was filled with the same plugin content that everyone else had. A surfer signs up only to find that the content in the members area is no better than what he can find for free. Add to that the pre-checked cross sales, hidden charges etc....and after a $100 fleecing for low quality porn, these surfers will never sign up again. If you want to make money, especially on gallery traffic, you have to have something unique that the surfers haven't seen before. A $3000 flashy tour just isn't going to do it. You have to sell the steak, not the sizzle. :2 cents: |

I don't remember which mag, cuz being such a newb myself, I just look at the sponsor ads and drool over how much money I can make and how easy it must be to do it, and don't really read any of the articles. |
I'd also like to add a 3rd reason
3) Too many paysites. I know this will make some of you shake your heads, but the problem isn't too many free sites with free content, its too many paysites. Why did Cybererotica convert at 1 in 50 in 1998? And retain for 6 months? Because the surfers had nowhere else to go. There were very few porn options for the paying customer. Now the customer has more choices than he can ever possibly look at. And alot of these choices have unique content, so he can afford to be picky and shop around for the site he likes the best (shitty conversion ratios) and he can sign up for a short period of time and move on to the next site that has different content (shitty retention) Competition here, just like any other business, is good for the consumer and bad for the business owner. You can adapt to the current marketplace and make money, or you can whine about how good things used to be while you go bankrupt. :2 cents: |
Look at a gallery as an advert in a magazine add. Only a small sample of what the full site is... with a $4.95/min phone number, or in this case a banner.

Well it would also help
If the content and/or fhg were " censored " it will help sales, it will help keeping underage off super explicit porn as well.
I never understood the people that dig for exclusive content to build galleries, etc, fhg should be kinda boring, just so they pay for the content. nik |

That is the way it should be
I would like all surfers to see the same shit over and over and buy it! This is marketing , not charity, and quality TGPs should write reviews, put quality links, just NOT the content.

as soon as I read the first sentence, I didn't need to read any further.
I'm not hurtin and I give away a GANG of shit for free. It just gets better every year. |
