If you own a stock that is not listed on Nasdaq, say it is an .OB stock, and that the company decides to transfer to Nasdaq, are your stocks just transfered?

I would think you still own the same stock, it will just be traded on a different exchange and maybe the symbol will change...

My only experience, unfortunatley is the reverse - so many tech stocks during the bubble that lost their listings on NASDAQ and got booted onto the OTCBB, and no, the only thing that changed was the symbol. In my stocks they did a roll-back of the shares as in a reverse split to try to boost the share price up to $2.00 which is the minimum the stock has to trade at for 30 consecutive days to maintain your listing.

yes, it's a matter of when they comply with the SEC filings... your shares are still the same

note: the company doesn't "decide to transfer to NASDAQ", they have to meet the listing requirements... be careful with OTCBB stocks and PinkSheet ones as well

Yes, they are transfered, although it will most likely have a change in CUSIP number depending on the type of change. Call you Stock Transfer Agent, commonly listed on the front and back of your cert. and they will let you know for sure.
