You pay what you want - ok, i'll give you 2 bucks for the script, on the second thought make that 1 buck.

Good luck ;)

On the main pages are our newest updates listed. If you use the script you will understand what it means ;)
And we had a "pay what you want" option in the beginning. We removed it from our site, but didn't update the box yet.
I have to agree that our site isn't totally done yet, but the script itself is our first priority at this time.

Well Raptor does have a tgp plugin. But that's very basic. You can't compare Vanilla with the Raptor tgp plugin.

cambaby 04-26-2005 07:46 PM

Ill wait till Euros come down a bit before even thinking about buying this script. Looks fucking nice tho.

Spunky 04-26-2005 07:48 PM

bump for my dutch homeys

fireorange 04-28-2005 08:34 AM

Looks good.

But AutoGallery SQL, Comus & Smart Thumbs have customers with huge sites (200k+/day), which big sites use your software?

Za Ha 04-28-2005 09:11 AM

WOW Finally someone actually thinks in the TGP game!
For the longest time I have been waiting for a new GOOD tgp script to come out!!!

This one looks VERY good!
My only concern is that http://www.vanillatgp.com/index.php?action=8 has some false info bout comus. But thats the way you market it so its fine :winkwink:

Your site is bookmarked and I will definately buy a copy once I get my sites up with my current scripts.

Za Ha 04-28-2005 09:24 AM

Make up a new feature for Vanilla and send it to [email protected]

I dont like email... so here goes.

1) Set up a system that will allow submitters to deposit money into an account which can be used for submissions.
IE: You deposit $100 = 100 submits.

2) Have a few sites connected together that offer this paid system so that you submit once and its on all the sites at once.

And make sure it doesnt crash.

You dont need more than that.

The largest site using it atm is around 160k/day. We have a few customers with larger sites that will start using it soon though.

That feature is already there :winkwink:

Vanilla can handle multiple sites through the same system. So users can login, buy credits, and spend these credits on advertising spots that display on one of your sites or on all, or just 2 or whatever. You can set the price of the spot of course. So, this feature is already there too :upsidedow

Implement a click pattern option (comus has it and so does madtgp)
Where you can skim
100 90 80 70 ...

DateDoc 04-28-2005 02:54 PM

Is your script for thumbs only or can you still run an old school text link tgp with it?

Violetta 04-28-2005 03:27 PM

bump for a great program!

It can do any kind of listing. You can enable/disable all required fields at the submit page such as description/upload thumb/make thumb/nickname etc.
And you can display anything you want of gallery, such as url, description, pics/movies, thumb etc.

You can even only use the urls if you would like to, its all seperated

DateDoc 04-28-2005 03:40 PM

Cool, so I can take 150 submits/day and just list them as text links? Does it randomize them and count clicks on them and make a best of? I'd rather they be static if possible. I was looking at Brownie but I like the looks of your program.

FireFoz 04-30-2005 09:28 AM

FYI some broken links (4 thumbs built into logo and a few more scattered through the tables) are coming up for me right now...

lazzlo 04-30-2005 10:04 AM

Yea, I saw that right after I posted. It was not a Vanilla issue. And fixed.

jayeff 04-30-2005 10:05 AM

1. You must have realized you are coming to the market late, so is there an easy way to import existing links AND thumbs from other scripts/databases?

2. Several sites can be operated from a single database. But is this done by extracting data from a core database to build others (for other sites) or do the sites actually run from that one database?

3. If running from a single database (however it is done), is one restricted to a single server, or will Vanilla run across several servers if necessary?

4. Pricing. Is a separate copy of Vanilla needed for each domain, even if running off a single database?

Hi, I was away for the weekend so didnt have time to check the replies :) but here they are:

1. You can easily import galleries and thumbs if you have a list of them. All you need is the url of the gallery and the url of the thumbnail.

2. There is one core database which is being used. However, all galleries are unique to one site as well as most settings. So you have 1 physical database and one cpanel, but settings/galleries/categories etc are still unique per site.

3. For this moment you could have your mysql on a remote server. However all sites need to be at the same server. Vanilla will support multiple servers in the future though.

4. Yes, the license goes per site/domain

If you have any more questions let me know :)

Lee 05-01-2005 03:00 PM

I guess my suggestion wasnt considered good :(

DateDoc 05-01-2005 04:29 PM

Maybe offer a limited free version that skims like Comus did or does as the case maybe. I'd take the payment module out of the free version. Looks like good stuff. Hope it works out for you.
