PHOTOSHOP Experts: How do you make really smooth airbrushed thumbs? [pics]

What settings do you modify to make the thumbs like the ones on this page?

http://onlycumshots.deluxepass.com/index-main.html Notice they're really smooth and have an airbrush-like quality. |

The technique used by the person who made those thumbs is pretty common -- I do it too. I'm not sure how much work you want to put into thumbs, but you can get that effect by using a combination of filters and tools. The filters you want to use are Gaussian Blur and DeSpeckle. Both will essentially make an image blurrier. The trouble is they make the whole image blurry. So what you want to do is after applying one of those filters (and you can scale the effect of each filter up and down, till you've removed the lack of smoothness in the image to your satisfaction) is then go back and sharpen some of the edges. The eye takes its cue about whether an image is in focus by fixing on the lines of the face, around the eyes, the edges of the ears, etc. Use the sharpen tool to do this. If you just want to even out the skin you can apply the Blur Tool (different from the above filters) selectively to the area you want. Reducing the saturation may also help remove some color artefacting. Hope this helps -- j-
