And in other news Tunisia demanded that Italy apologize and make amends for attrocities commited by Rome during the punic wars. Three simple words reported the abrupt and absolute end of a once flowering Carthegenian civilization, "Carthago delecto est."
This was immediately followed up by the city of Rome suing approximately ten million John Doe defendants to be named later in connection with the sacking of Rome in 410 by the Visigoths. An city official speaking on condition of anonymity stated, "the defendants in the lawsuit are the descendants and lawful heirs of the Visigoths, we feel they should be held accountable for the ancestors actions." The German president responded to the Italian lawsuit against the Visigoth descendants, many of whom are German citizens by calling Italy a "bunch of whiney bastards" who should "get over it". |
Well as you know there is two sides to each story. So being from Glendale I know all about the Armenians and the genocide. Of course it was a fucked up situations but I mean all I see on Armenian Genocide is a bunch of Armenians driving around with flags everywhere honking and cheering like its some sort of celebration. Honestly it makes me laugh, if you guys are supposed to be mourning all the deaths from the genocide, why all the celebration? I have seen this for years and honestly it pisses me off. As much as I support the recognization of the Genocide, what happens when you get the recognition your looking for?

i'm armenian and it pisses me off even more to see those morons driving up and down glenoaks and embarassing the rest of us... my grandparents witness their parents get raped and killed infront of his eyes while hiding away and escaped from there and somehow got to iran (under the age or 13 when it all happened)... we got to church or motebello... somewhere where enough people go to make an impact and get noticed and educate people who don't anything about it.... |

The Turks raped and killed everyone, get over it.
j/k guys. I have plenty of Armenian friends and they are the friendliest people I have ever met in my life. No one has ever been so fast to invite me and embrace me in their home. Amazing. |

The answer to your question of what will happen when we get the recognition? Life will go on, and it will put our minds to ease knowing that the 1.5 million lives that were lost are recognized! And then they can rest in peace! What happens when someone you knopw gets murdered, and the killers are never brought to justice? You rage inside of you, but if someone was to blame for the killing at least your mind feels at ease and the dead persons soul rests in peace! |
Well said :thumbsup

If there's anything I could possibly care less about than Turkey recognizing Armenian genocide, I sure can't think of it right now.

Unless you are trying to get your post count up, you obviously care about this thread to make a post and waste your useless 2 seconds of your pathetic life. be gone! |
Ignorance is amongst us my brothers and sisters, dont let it frustrate you. Ignorance only exists because of lack of knowledge. Let's educate, and teach the world! We will accomplish more and make a big effort towards JUSTICE!
|
Is anyone still alive from that time that you can bring to justice these days?
|
living in glendale, i got a bunch of armenian friends as well. I hope you all get what your looking for... fucking shame and they need to recognize this shit before 100 years pass... you have this jew's understanding.

Well of course part this is all about money you stupid Turk. Do you think your forefathers can just come, steal our land, our property and kill our people??? How would you feel if Armenians commited against your people??? It is about our ancestral lands, which have been ours for over 2000 years. It is about financial compensation for all the land and property we have lost. And finally and most importantly is the moral ground. We simply want the world to recognize our suffering, so we can all leave in peace, because neither you nor me want another genocide or holocoust to repeat. No, please read this and think a little for a change, before replying with your sensless crap. |

I am Armenian, and I march in protest in Ottawa in front of the turkish embassy almost every April 24th. The genocide needs recognition for our minds and the minds of our grandparents to be at rest: just like any crime that is unsolved... the victims of those crimes cannot sleep at night without recognition and closure. That is what we are looking for, closure.
Also, I understand how turks today have "nothing" to do with what happened almost 100 years ago, but it is also a crime for them to ignore the mountains of facts, and to deny what their ancestors did in 1915. I also agree that the honking and yelling only makes our cause look more stupid. Our grandparents must be looking out their house windows ashamed, while they are mourning the deaths of their family members... Finally, it is important for us to take this one day and remember, because just as people go to the cemetary to remember their loved ones, we use today to remember what happened to our race, and how we are here the way we are today. |
And all those asking questions as to what is the point in accepting the Genocide and who fucking cares... Here is a simple answer..I CARE and all the Armenians around the world care, because every Armenian around world had some relatives or someone they lost in the Genocide. By recognizing any Genocide, brings us closer in preventing from such things happening in the future. Because when nations see the consequenses of commiting a Genocide, they will thinks twice before implementing such policies.
This is a struggle which the Armenian people carried for 90 years and we are not going to stop now, it is like running a marathon, coming almost to the finish line and stopping...same thing here. I hope this explains the reason. Jews got their tragedy recognized by the world and Germany is still paying the survivors, why can't we too, after all the Holocaust was just a continuation of the Armenian Genocide. By learning from the Ottoman army, the Germans, which were allies with Turkey during WWI, learned all the tools they needed to exterminate over 6 million Jews. So, PLEASE, stop and think for a second and put yourself in our shoes and if you have a human heart you will understand. Just a fact: numerous countries around the world recognized this dark day in history, which include : France, Russia, Switzerland, Canada, Poland, Greece, Holland, Argentina ect..and list keeps growing every year :) |

Bdjuf... well said... i agree with you all the way... this is not a day to party... its a day to remember and make sure the world hears us!!! good job Dave :thumbsup |

...i just got home from the System of the Down concert in memory of the Armenian Genocide....preceeds went to Armenia...I play poker with John Dolmayan ( drummer ) and thought he plays ok...but man he plays the drums well!! |
bacause you have good armenian friends, we need to accept this lie?
btw there is no real evidence other than shitty blue book(thats english propoganda book against ottomans in that times) and yeah if you have millions to spend, in somehow i can show you america made genocide against eskimos. thats that easy btw my friends grandpa's also killed by armenians but is that important after 100 years? btw another guys also asked what you get when you made world recognized this lie? Quote:
|
^i agree

I'm not for either side but it's obvious that there most likely will be no end to the protesting and partying no matter who recognizes what. There will be no closure, no one will ever be satisfied. |

Onlyreal is the most biased turkish guy I've met and possible since i'm greek he believes the same for me.
For the rest following this thread: Recognition is important. History defines part of the future and it's vital for generations to secure the historical events and keep the memories alive. Don't mix this with hate, it has to do with respect. |

you know what is hilarious... the "Armenian pride" thugs who ride around California with Armenian flags on their cars and blasting Armenian disco.
this is america fucker, take your Armenian flag and shove it up your ass. and they wonder why their cars are vandalized :1orglaugh if i rode around with Confederate Flags on my vehicle they would harrass me, but they want to fly another countries flag on their car |
well another 24 april passed , lets see what will happen next year:)
btw soul_rebel we have really too much proofs for what turkish genocide(a real genocide not an exile like armenian lie. i am sure you never heard it.) that greeks done in 1915-1918 but is this really important after 100 years? for ottoman empire thing, if u read history, we were the only modern country in middle-ages, and you guys get all this techno, kindness from us and china. so before saying rushless killers to think it again. one more thing, ottoman empire was not just turks, when you check managers etc you see most of them are greeks, armenians, etc. this is why there is too much historician saying ottoman empire 2nd rome empire. and yes it was fucked place after 1700s 1750s but it was bad for all, turks, greeks, armenians etc. |
