TGP Owners - Question about FHG's - Please Read

What do you need with FHG's to make them easier to use?
What size descriptions? What size thumbs? What format do you want the links output in?

I'm having a database made for our hosted galleries where you can select your thumb size, description size, reseller ID, # of pics/movies etc...and it will output a text file with what you need.....so let me know what you need.

    Thanks

    My

Its hard to cover every size and what not, however this is what I would do.

    Make 2, 3, 4 and 5 word descriptions.

    For thumbs, 88x88, 110x150, 90x120, 100x140 and 100x150.

I prefer commas and lay out like this:
          URL,DESCRIPTION,NUMBER OF PICS

Some scripts use comma seperated fields, so: url, description,#pics would be nice.

Also leave punctuation marks out of descriptions and if your tracking software uses variables seperated by commas, make the necessary script or .htaccess changes to allow dashes instead of / in addition to commas.

              No punctuation...got it.

We use mod_rewrite to track the galleries....so no problems there, they work just like static urls.

I can set the script up to just put commas or pipes or whatever to separate the fields....and we could set it up where you pick which comes first (numpics, url, desc, whatever)

What about thumbs....do you just want the url of the thumb output to a text file with the gallery or do you want to see the thumb so you can grab it yourself?

I make my own thumbs so it makes no difference to me ;)

Arguments can be made both ways, personally I hate waiting for thumbs to load while I'm trying to grab gallery lists so I'd say just provide a link. Yet I can understand people wanting to see them right away to let them know if they want that thumb / gallery.

I like coma delimas. For my script, which I created myself and nobody else has -- this would be the easiest for me to implement: you can label it "Sick's Shizzle"

                  <url>,<description>,<submitter/sponsor>,<date>,<pictures/movies>

K thx.. Oh, and they all have to be STATIC w/ no RANDOM 404 TRAPS

Right now there is no 404 page.....I was thinking of maybe sending the 404 to a little thumb TGP that we have.....but I definitely wouldn't pop consoles or any kind of shit like that.
