:2cents my impressions of ynotpayment

ive run a pay site since 1999, initially piggy backing friends merchant accounts, then moving to paypal, then to verotel and got grandfathered into their verotel pro program and thats where i'm at now at 13.9% inclusive.

Ynot seemed like a good deal at 10% and 0 setup (how are they doing this if even verotel in region 2 europe is now charging 1500$ setup? same question to ecommerceglobal). I dont like how they hide the user agreement until AFTER you fill out their forms, ALL fees and terms should be disclosed BEFORE the forms.

When I get the agreement the first thing that jumps at me is the usual 'sales agent' section, but this time it says i sign over ownership and copyright of all the content i produce to them , i've heard this before with some other ipsp's (globill) but i dont remember seeing it in verotels user agreement, ill have to look again.

the next thing that jumped out at me was the fees, they have a txn fee of 50 cents, which isnt bad, but other ISP's dont do it that way, they use bundled rates, so on my business the effective rate they're charging is 12% not 10%. They have the highest chargeback fee i've ever seen at 45$ (verotel has no cb fee). I will admit they have good online check and european debit rates though, but also with annoying high (less than 45$) chargeback fees. Keep in mind, I didnt see these fee's or terms until i already filled out their application.

For me, the 1.9% saved will be offset by the high cb fees , im just not high volume enough i guess. not to mention even with all the trash talked here about verotel, i do trust them, been using them since paypal shut us all down and they've been good to me, i've even been into their offices in amsterdam.

SO I will be sticking with verotel. (my referal link)
