Anyone use Registerfly/Expirefish? The bitches

Anybody use these fucks? I signed up with registerfly 4 or 5 days ago so I could use the Expirefish service to go after a few domains I wanted.

I set up my account, and "fund" my registerfly account so I can get the expirefish monitoring. I get an email saying "Within 5 minutes" I will have the login information to use expirefish. The email never comes. So I go to their live chat support and they tell me they can't do shit, I have to send in a trouble ticket. So I send in a trouble ticket and they say there was a problem with their system, couldn't complete the order, and put the money back into my registerfly account.

So I make the purchase again, and again I get the email saying I'll have my info in 5 minutes, and it never shows up. So I go back and make another trouble ticket which has been sitting there for 2 days with a status of "Assigned" and no responses from anyone.

Getting sick of the middle-man I decide to go to expirefish and buy a membership directly since I am anxious to get a monitor on these domains. They take my credit card just fine, but then when I try to log into my account, it logs me in, but gives me a mysql error screen. After some fucking around I manage to find some other links that get me into the members section, but when I try to put a domain on monitoring for backorder it tells me they need a registerfly account associated with my expirefish account. So I put in the the infro for my registerfly account and get "Server error. Please report to system admin."

Been like this for 2 or 3 days now. Anyone else had shit like this with them? I want to ring somebody's fucking neck.

Yeah, it would be nice if somebody actually said they were fixing it. And the shit on expirefish isn't like some little problem. The way it is, it's totally fucking useless. You can't do anything with your account. If they can't do business they should change the damn page and stop taking money.

I've been having problems too. I have been getting a database error every time I log in to expirefish, I can't access my account at all. I've sent them a ticket, haven't heard shit from them yet.

I haven't been able to log in to my expirefish account for the past three months. I just figured they were no longer alive cause I get no response using their contact form. Its been frustrating cause I can only cancel my account after I log in, to which I can't. Registerfly is launching some new domain drop service called name zap so I figured expirefish was gone. Also, expirefish completely sucked as a second tier domain pick up service. I'm curious how you were able to log in?

Save your money. I've used expirefish before and have never once nabbed a domain I was trying for. It's useless IMHO.

Sort of a little backdoor to get into the account screen. Took me a while clicking around to find it.

First go to log in, you will get an error when you submit your login info, but you will still get cookied. When you get the error screen, hit back to go to the front page. Then click the "monitor check" link on the left side of the screen.

On that screen, put in any domain name, And it will give you the option to add it to your monitor. When you click to add it to your monitor you should end up at the account admin screen where you will be able to cancel.

I can't believe they leave that shit there taking money, and most people aren't even going to be able to find their way into it to cancel the account once they find it's useless. What a fucking scam.

That sort of worked for me. I can get to my account admin, but my monitor queue is showing no domains & I get errors when I try to add anything.

BTW, thanks for the heads up with your problems with Registerfly, I was thinking that the problems were only with Expirefish. I was about to take advantage of Registerfly's $5.50 transfer deal, you probably just saved me a lot of money (and headaches).

As a registrar registerfly is cool. I don't have any complaints with them at all. Expirefish sucks though.

Damn I wish I saw all that shit before I started with them. Didn't cost me a huge amount of money, but I am out money which really pisses me off.

Anyone know of any other domain snatchers that only allow 1 backorder? I don't want to get into the shit with the auctions that go on with snapnames and pool.com

The whole reason I wanted expirefish was because they don't do that stuff. If I get into an auction situation over some domain I'm either not going to get it, or end up paying what I would have sold it for in the first place.

Do the same search on any major registrar. If they have a lot of customers, chances are someone has bitched (adult webmasters LOVE to whine). I have used them for years and never had a real problem. I had a billing issue once and it was handled within a few hours.

Fine shake this off all you like....

Its a known fact REGISTERFLY are not adult Friendly.
Just don't moan here when they change the DNS on your domain or its stolen and they refuse to give you it back or even answer your support.

I've been fucked by them, friends of mine have been fucked by them.

Enjoy life on the edge?
Goodluck
