you really are a twat aren't you. Anyone that knows me, knows I am a very mild mannered guy, and very patient. When someone comes into your business and threatens you with a knife we'll talk about how you handle the situation. In the meantime go back to being a keyboard warrior. I protected my employees, my business and my property. I didn't get violent with this guy, merely followed at a distance to ensure he left the premises. He was not close enough to "ram his knife in my gut" as you put it.

Of course, I started that when we had thousands, sometimes tens of thousands in cash and hundreds of credit card impression slips in the office/safe at any one time. I've been to Vancouver several times and loved it. It is one of my favorite cities, world wide. I've stayed right next door to the big arena a couple times, right in the heart of downtown and loved it. But there is a HUGE drug culture there and with that comes rampant crime to support the habit.
