    People from Canadia .. I have Money Exchange question...

    Yo

    Lets say the rate is 1.24 , now lets say i hit a atm of a bank. Will i get the banks current xchange rate with a US debit card?

    Or is this a myth? The last few times i was in Canadia I was told to pull it from ATM for better rate.

                  Sorry Juicy, I don't know the answer to your question. However, here's what I do know:

                  I'm a Canadian. When I go to the states and pull out my bank card, I expect to get hosed by the bank. So, I use my Credit Card to pay for stuff. I get billed for the lowest exchange rate that month, plus a 1% 'cause I don't pay a yearly fee month.

                  But what's with all this business talk Juicy? I thought you were taking the day off

                          exchange at your bank or use your CC, you will get a bad exchange and service fees from your debit card,
                          not to mention your debit card may not allways work and then you will be screwed

                              The exchange is about 1.24, like you said. The bank will give you 1.21 right now. Plus you might have to deal with service charges as well.

                              Check with your credit card company first regarding their exchange rates. Most take a 2-3% commission, just like the bank.

                                  If you don't want to get hit with service charges or bad exchange rates, don't visit the ATM or use your credit card.

                                  Instead, simply bring a squeege. In between the parties, stake out a good intersection in downtown Montreal and wash windshields. I've heard you can make good money that way, and your bank won't soak you on fees.

                                  If you find a really good intersection might have to fight the green-hairs over it. The weather is really nice up here, so they're out in force now.
