Tracking cheaters in UCJ
Hey all
I run a few free sites using UCJ to manage them, and I know there are a ton of sites cheating using hitbots, img srcs, etc. I was wondering what I should be looking for in UCJ to detect cheaters.. I look under show details, and I'm not sure what to look for. Anyone have any tips on how to catch cheaters?.. |

First off, check out AWI under their cheaters forum to see who's cheating. Chances are if someone is cheating, they'll be posted on there shortly after and when they do cheat, MOST of the time, they go right down the UCJ script users list, so they hit everybody.
As far as using your "show details" list to find out who's cheating. Some people will put hidden links on their pages which aren't seen on the page, but hitbots see them and click on them, that'll give you a red flag right there if lots of them are clicked on. One other thing that I do to find cheaters is to look at all of your other legit trades to see which links they're traffic is clicking on. I know on my page, there's a couple of links that are ALWAYS right on top of everyone's ranks. If you look at a site and see all of those links at the bottom of that list, while there's links that are towards the bottom of your page up top, then chances are that it's a cheater. Of course, the biggest giveaway is when you logon and see that someone just signed up and started blasting you hundreds of hits. Sure, in rare instances people will do that, but most of the time, that's a good sign of a cheater. |

Thanks Slick
I'll try that hidden link thing, throw a couple 1x1 things at the bottom of the page or something. |
