What is a BAD clickthrough on TGP galleries? + A calculation - GoFuckYourself.com

Suppose you really suck at sales pitches, how many ppl will click on your links on the gallery, when you're listed on the big guys' TGPs. We do about 0.06% click through. Which means 6 ppl click on the textlinks for every 10k visitors. Suppose you need to do 1:500 on a sponsor, we need a LOT of visitors, we might need 100k for 1 sale.

Too funny.... I better go back to smaller TGPs and TGP2. At least we can use some more ads on there.

Funny experiment though...

1 in 1667 visitors clicks on the sponsor, that visitor costed us already:
40$$ in content +

12 pics x 35kb = 420kb x 1667 = 700mb
12 thumbs x 4kb = 48kb x 1667 = 80mb
780 mb (2,5$$ a Gig).
IF we make 35$$ a sale, we need at least 1 sale for the content + 1 sale every 10.000 visitors, which means a ratio of 1:6 to our sponsors.

I do not think I will do this any time soon again, unless I wanna get broke fast, lol

i have 1.6% ctr in average with the biggest tgps

I made a sale from about gazillion posts, not counting The Hun, who listed me once

Although I might be blacklisted everywhere, since my IP is used by 3 guys (my computer) with russian submitter. All tgps have atleast 3 nicks/e-mails from my IP

Naughty, maybe it's an idea to insert a htaccess file that make it impossible to view your website listings like http://www.sexlabels.com/gallery/0102/

0.06%? Man that's a bad ratio. You should average 1 - 2% even on the really big boys. So if you get 50,000 page views you should be looking at around 500 to 1000 clickthrus with a signup or two. It's all about talking dirty to the surfer with in your face text links. A couple of stratigically placed text links and maybe an odd sized or vertical banner should get you these results. Honest!
