Is Steve Nash the MVP?
Now that the Suns clinched home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, my vote goes to him.
He made this team the best record in the NBA. |

He should be but I think Shaq will get it.

I'd like to think he deserves but I'm a bit biased being a big Suns fan. It seems that the majority of the media is leaning towards giving it to Shaq. The feeling seems to be that Nash has a better supporting cast than Shaq and thus Shaq has had a bigger impact. I'm not sure I buy that though as the Suns season is the third biggest turnaround in league history and the Suns lost five in a row when Nash was injured earlier in the year.

As Skiles said, Shaq could be MVP every year. The guy is the unstoppable when he wants to be and he has alot of motivation this season. Miami isn't a bad team without him, Wade is a good player. But in terms of making his team better, Shaq has made Udonis Haslem seems great, Shaq made Devean George seem good!!!
Nash has got Stoudamire/Marion/Q-Rich/Johnson and more to work with I think Shaq gets the edge, what about rookie; Okafor, Gordon or Dwight Howard? |

I wonder what Mark Cuban thinks about Nash? He should have matched the offer the Suns made.

I don't think Nash would have an MVP season in Dallas, he just didnt fit the offense with Dirk and Finley

Shaq will probably be the MVP not just for his play but for rejuvenating a whole conference.
Nash has undoubtedly done wonders in Phoenix who've had an incredible year. However, Shaq has tilted the balance of power significantly in the East. Last year only Detroit was even considered as the major power and they upset the heavily-favored Lakers. This year the East now has two bonafide teams to nab the crown: Detroit and the Heat. The playoffs are now not as one-sided as in years past. Even though I'm a Laker fan, I think the title goes through San Antonio (with a healthy Duncan of course). If not, Detroit will repeat. As far as rookies go...I'd give a slight edge to Okafor. ![]() |

The NBA is all about business, money, and ratings. Shaq will win the MVP. No one will be sitting home watching Detroit vs. San Antonio. Be sure Shaq will get the MVP and play in the finals and start rigging the ping pong balls for the Lakers too.

shaq missed a lot of the season and numbers-wise was his worst season, nash led his team to #1 in the league, he truly deserves it this yr.
