Francophone apartment hunting - gotta love it, NOT

I can say this because I am Quebecoise.

But I can find the most over-crowded city on earth and still manage to find an apartment within 2 days of hard looking.

Except anyplace where there is a french influence.

I'm planning on moving back to Canada and it is next to fucking impossible to find an apartment in Montreal! And I'm like SHIT, everyone says there is an apartment shortage but it's not that bad. I've been in places way worst and had less problemes.

And when you do find a place you get asked some really StUpId questions. I've been asked everything thing from who is my great grandmother to have I considerdered learning to speak French. (What part of a "Bonjour, ca va bien?" did you not understand?)

Once this week I could actually hear a man turn ghostly white on the phone. I figured that I would handle all his questions by saying "I'll tell you what. I'll just pay you a year in advance and wire transfer you the cash." WTF? Did he think I was a terrorist or drug dealer?

You know, francophone women can be some of the hottest on earth. But shit, it seems any place France has touched is got some pretty fucked up behaviours.

They talk about the collapse of the French empire here in France but shit... What fucking empire? Everynation they been in, with the exception of Canada, is a 3rd world nation. (And Canada is only doing well because of the English takeover... Still we have bullshit with seperatist movements that rock our economy.)
