TORONTO ? Porn star agent Stephan Sirard is disappointed.
In an attempt to memorialize murdered adult actress Taylor Summers, Sirard had a plan to donate the entire proceeds of her last movie, "Lesbian Lover," to benefit her favorite charity ? Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.

But late Friday the hospital?s foundation rejected the offer.

?[They] refuse to be part of this video release, or accept any donation or associate themselves with the adult industry,? Sirard told XBiz. ?Therefore, everything has been put on hold.?

Sirard of the FCF Agency said that his lawyers approached the hospital to ask if they could highlight donations on the cover of the video, using the language "All proceeds from the sale of this video go to Sick Kid's Hospital in Toronto."

Summers, who worked nearly a year at FCF, helped raise money for the hospital before she was murdered, Sirard said, noting that she was a "porn star with principles."

He told XBiz that the donation had a potential value of between $5,000-$25,000. ?It?s hard to stay ? who knows,? he said.

Summers, whose real name was Natel King, was stabbed to death last year after a shoot in Conshohocken, Pa. Adult photographer Anthony Frederick has pleaded guilty to murder and could face 25 years in jail.

Summers, a 5?8?, 138 lb., blonde content actress who specialized in bondage shoots, had traveled from her hometown of Toronto for the shoot. Known as ?the Sexy Canadian,? she posed in adult magazines and online sites for nearly five years.

According to Sirard, ?Lesbian Lover? was the 23-year-old actress? first ? and last ? film about lesbian sex. "It's her first original solo,? Sirard said.

The agent, who has two offices ? one in Toronto and one in Rohnert Park, Calif. ? admitted it was a tough sell to hospital officials.

"A lot of big corporations are involved in the adult industry and most people don't know," Sirard said. "So, it's like a gray area. I think people don't want to be directly linked to it."

Hospital spokeswoman Helen Simeon declined to comment on the matter to XBiz. But Simeon confided that the hospital does not accept any donations ?that are illegal and inappropriate ? whatever that means.?

Last year, Trampas Video donated profits of a video featuring Mika Tan, Amber Peach, Summer Lynn and others to the families of Summers and Shannon, an actress whose career was cut short by a fire injury.

i'm not surprised at all. thats such a great thing to do in her memory but we all have to realize that this is porn, and no matter how comfortable we are with it the rest of society isnt

I think the main problem is associated from the paragraph below. At that point, they're using the Hospital in Toronto as a selling tool. I'm sure they could make an anonymous donation to the hospital.

The ppl who work in such a hospital are complete morons. There is no such a term as "dirty money" when we are speaking of CHILDREN who needs for a help.

Just an example from a real life. Do you remember chehcen butchery in the Beslan's school (Russia)? Perhaps you also know about Russian adult webmaster community (crutop.nu, master-x.com etc). So these Russian webmasters have gathered a rather big money then deliveded it Right into Beslan (without fuckin' intermediary funds etc). Just bringed the money right to the most suffered families there. No publicity, no uproar. They just gave they they can to those poor people. That's it.

as nice as she may have been, she was still a pornstar and not someone society wants to portray as a rolemodel for children. Asking permission to use the hospital's name on the boxcover makes the whole thing sound more like a marketing campaing.

If the point is to help the children, why not simply make a donation.

Agreed.

Probably it wouldn't even have to be anonymous, but to use the hospital name as selling tool I can see the hospital rejecting the offer. Though it appears that they rejected it because of the nature of the video (porn), it may just be a policy they have with for profit businesses donating proceeds from sales using their name without an actually dollar figure donation.

If the company really wants to make a donation, sell the video and send the proceeds to the hospital in memory of Natel King and if they do not accept it, then judge them. JMO

good point on the other hand it reminds me govertments that decline the donations of body parts for surgeries from certain countries for political reasons letting young people die. In a society where religion wouldn't existed such thing would be considered normal.

how would that cause bad publicity? You don't find porn DVD covers left and right. I'ts not like they wanted a huge banner outside the hospital saying sponsored by a murdered pornstar. Hospitals have a specific role of existence and definitely it's not PR.

Bottom line, I have respect for organizations that put their money where their mouth is. The hospital frowns on porn and won't accept what THEY consider dirty money. It's called living true to your principles and that's not a bad thing.
