Why would the hd make the laptop faster? Just more room to store your porn.

I noticed a difference going from a 5400 rpm to a 7200 rpm, but if its already at 7200 i don't think you'll notice it

All depends on what you fill it with and rpm.It will take longer to search for files if it's loaded.

cpu is the brains
ram is the muscle
and hdd is only the capacity of the computers information..

ie. better brains or bigger muscles will make it faster, the ability to remember alot of information could only slow it down.

harddrive can make a computer faster, If it can seek data faster and buffer faster then applications run faster, get a 10,000 RPM hdd with a nice size cache no less than 8mb and you will notice a speed diffrence usally.
