Is $15 really as low as you can go...

			Hey there guys/gals,

I've got a few domain names myself that Im thinking of getting registered but every place I've been to charges everything from $30??(NetSol) to $15 (WHOis.net??)...does anyone know any one that goes lower then $15? (not that I don't mind paying $15 but if I can go lower...I'd like that more..you know! )I could've sworn I saw someone charging like $7 but I can't recall when/where I saw this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA! ------------------ I hit the escape key but I'm stil here! [This message has been edited by tekart (edited 01-06-2002).] |

You don't have to buy in bulk, no 10 year registration commitments to get that price. [This message has been edited by Houdini (edited 01-06-2002).] |

Damn, it's amazing at the way that domain registration has dropped in the last couple of years. I guess that I can't complain, he he he.

I use namecheap.com as well. I have over 50 domains with him, and couldnt be happier. $8.88 is as cheap as you will find them. I started buying from him when he first started his company. good guy, his name is richard.

Namecheap.com looks pretty good. Who are they reselling thru? Anyone?

I think they look good mainly because it appears they provide free URL and email forwarding. godaddy and the other(s) mentioned above charge about $9/year for that. I use stargateinc.com and registerfly.com. Stargateinc.com does 1 year for about $9, and if you grab 2 domains in one hit for 1 year, they are $8 each. Both registerfly and stargateinc.com resell thru enom.com. Edit: I forgot to mention that both registerfly and stargateinc.com give free URL and email 4warding too. I have about 30 with registerfly and maybe 10 with stargateinc.com. They're pretty good, except I often have credit card denied at registerfly so it takes about 24hrs to get it happening. As with everything else in life... cheaper is not always better. Cheap hosting is usually shit hosting. Cheap cars usually suck. Cheap clothes... bah. Cheap beer? No thanks. Cheap women? Definitely a no no. Cheap food... well thats not necessarily true. |

God that is no shit. NS is a nightmare. I had some problems with Domain Name Systems, and a terrible lack of support had me transferring all of my domains off there. DirectNic is who I am with now and they really seem to have their shit together. |

I use DirectNic for all my domains. I'm happy & comfortable with them & don't think I'd change just to save a few measley bucks...
