I have personally talked to my power seller rep numerous times and this is 100% legitimate.

call ebay and ask them 866-442-3229.

scammers dont spend 500 bucks on an account, they get it for free thanks to newbies and some new powersellers offering their infos to the first spammers sending a fake notice....

do u think its a supreme pleasure to spend several hundreds of dollars for just one account? suspension forbids u to open any other account, its Ebay rule, what can i do. i may ask for reinstatement, i will try, till then, i have to keep selling my stuff.

scammers also dont pay by Paypal lol :1orglaugh

yes im sure it is, but if ebay suspends you, they will also suspend any account related to you........ once they figure it out, or someone reports you for something

brutus 04-14-2005 08:50 PM

So... why not respect their rules?! I guess... no adult related allowed. No suspended accounts anymore.

xmas13 04-14-2005 08:59 PM

eBay has millions of accts. If they suspend 1 of your accts they do not run around looking for other accts you may have to suspend them. eBay works pretty much on a system of what we do not know is okay. Just like the previous poster that sells more than 10 of the same item at 1 time. That is against eBay policy but until someone tells them they do not care. If you have more than 1 eBay acct they are all set up by a different email address. So if 1 acct gets suspended the others are fine. May they catch you at some point? Sure, they might. If you are egregious in your disavowment of eBay rules they will latch onto you and bend you over. However, for most ppl you can slide right by and keep on going.

the only way to survive a suspension is to use different identity, CC, email, everything. i read on some forums how they track accounts. they have maybe millions of accounts, but with advanced technology, powerful computer systems, and a strong antifraud department, they can find u in a few hours, or in a week. :upsidedow

It is a stupid eBay rule to only let you sell 10 of each item per user ID and let you have more than one user ID but that is eBay and I just follow their rules when selling on their site.

From the policy page you posted:
Quote:

Sellers may not register multiple User ID's to list more than 10 identical items.

i agree most of ppl will slide right, by using their friends. on their own it would be hard, except if u r a professional hacker and have strong notions in security systems. :thumbsup

ah ah u r right mardigras lol :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

LOL, that is a new addition to their policy and did not used to be there. I stopped mass selling on eBay around Aug/Sep last year. I'm actually glad to see it but it goes back to my early posts. If you have seperate emails for your accounts (which you have to) eBay is not going to do anything unless someone turns you in. Does your competitor know which accounts are yours? Probably not. So, since no one is turning you in go for it. Afterall most ppl don't even know you can't sell more than 10 of the same item at one time. The only reason I know is because someone turned me in. Then I called eBay and they told me I could have multiple ids and sell the same thing thus resulting in more than 10 auctions/day. Apparently now you can not do this. When you are caught on eBay they end your auctions. Sometimes all of them, but they credit you back all the listing fees so the only thing you lose is the potential to make money. Cancelled auctions cost you nothing in fees.

Some of the shit that goes on competitor wise gets pretty nuts. Once I had 40+ auctions for diet pills cancelled because I did not say they are ephedra free. I called eBay and said ephedra is illegal in the US now and my pills are ephedra free. they said well the person that "ratted you out" (my words) said that trimspa used to have ephedra in it. True statement but the trimspa x32 I was selling never had ephedra in it but eBay didnt care. they took the informants words and that is that. When you are doing a few grand a day on eBay you get to learn that you just live by their rules. What happens happens and you move on. Getting lost in the moment or in the past does nothing but harm your future business.

Hmm, sell account, new user takes over, enters his info, his email, does well, no problem with me. Of course he may not enter his info and run auctions. Scams ppl, leaves my email address on the acct (but wait I was smart enough to change it before the sale). When it comes down to it you choose who you deal with. Can you get fucked? Yes. Can you get fucked sellimg a business to someone else? Yes. Don't take quick $$ without the answers you need.

Would I sell my eBay acct for $500? No way. 99.8% pos and 3400 feedback. $2500 min. $10K is ideal.
