What's your magic number for billing?
To all the paysite owners on the board,
I was just wondering what your magic number for monthly recurring billing was. I've found that $19.95/month (with no trial) works beautifully for me (for the majority of my sites); my income seems to be maximized when I bill $19.95. At $24.95 my income drops a tiny bit, and the same goes for $14.95. I personally do not have a partner program (I buy all my traffic from various spots on high traffic TGPs, etc.). So, I don't have to worry about sharing my profit with partners, which would affect the bottom line with the pricing. No need to give urls or anything like that...I'm not trying to steal your secrets, I was just curious ![]() Cassie |

If 19.95 works better than the rest ... stick with it.

19.95 is the magic number for me too. It's that surfers mentality that triggers a red flag when the price is over 20 bucks. I never tried 14.95 but I'm surprised you see less income from that figure. You would think the lower you go the more likely they are to sign up. ------------------ Make $$$ the All New Diabolical Way |

cassie,
i have experienced that the lower the monthly rebilling fee you have the better rebill conversions are as well as retaining them for months and months on end. So say for example you charge initially 23.95 a month with no trial and rebill at the same you might expect a 35% to rebill. If you only charged say 9.95 for rebills you might expect as hi as 75-80% on the first and as much as 50% of your surfers sticking it out for over 6 months. The only problem you might face is finding webmasters to promote such a program due too the length of time it takes to profit from one surfer, but since you stated that you are not doing an affiliate program you should have nothing to fret. On BikiniVoyeur I choose too stay with the straight 23.95 a month (works good and generates substantial rebills for partners) but I have another paysite that I have sent my own traffic too with the 9.95 rebill model and I have experienced what I stated above. Hope this helps, BV ------------------ BikiniVoyeur: 50% Payouts Weekly! Plus Re Bills! Pimp the Real Shit |
